The Korean Folk Village is an open-air museum with reproduced historic structures and exhibitions of folk culture and artifacts. The rustic setting is an excellent place for visitors to experience traditional Korean culture. The spacious grounds provide and excellent educational opportunity for children and youths, a great learning experience for foreigners and a on-location shooting place for broadcasters and film makers.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Museum provides a sweeping view of the culture and history of Gyeonggi Province. The Museum opened in 1996 in a building that is a modern interpretation of the historical Hwa-seong Fortress in Suwon. Assuming the role of a cultural conservatory for the people of Gyeonggi Province, the Museum investigates, identifies, exhibits, and disseminates information on the cultural heritage of Gyeonggi. The building, comprised of three stories above ground and one storey below ground, houses the Natural History Hall, Archeology and Art Hall, Documentary Materials Hall, Painting and Calligraphy Hall, and Folk Customs Hall, providing insight into the ancient art, everyday lives and folk customs of the region. The Outdoor Exhibitions are great places for a first-hand experience of the cultural heritage of Gyeonggi.

Video artist Nam June Paik (born 1932, died 2006) has left behind his spiritual legacy in the Art Center, a space oriented toward creating new media and allowing the public to engage in different aspects of culture. Paik traveled back and forth between music and art, art and performance, and technology and art, through which he converted the modern TV of mass culture to an art medium. The Art Center has on display photos, materials and works of Nam June Paik. The Art Center¡¯s architectural design was done jointly by the German architect KirstenSchemel and Marina Stankovic.
